The VI Multiplier
Vid users will accumulate a VI multiplier, this score will reflect their contribution to the growth of the VID platform as well as their ongoing engagement level.
Overall Engagement Multiplier Methodology
Each user’s net positive impact on the VID platform is something we value highly. As a result, we have designed an algorithm to quantify each users contribution towards the growth of the Vid platform. This algorithm will determine a user's overall engagement multiplier. This rank will determine the reward multiple on each user’s content, using an exponential distribution from 1x to 10x. This means that at any given time, the user with the highest rank will receive a 10x return for views of their content, the user with the lowest rank will not be penalised, receiving a 1x return for views of the content they post.
An individual’s overall engagement score is comprised of 3 components:
1- Personal Engagement Score
This is a measure of the user’s activity on the Vidplatform, this score is calculated as a function of the following metrics:
2- Indirect Engagement Score
This component is derived from the overall engagement scores of all of the users who have joined the platform as a result of this user’s referrals. Given each user’s overall engagement score incorporates the scores of the users they’ve referred, this means:
If User A invites User B and User B invites User C, then User A will be rewarded for User C’s activity, as well as for the activity of anyone else they invite.
No matter how far down the tree you travel, the user who planted it continues to be rewarded.
Daily VID Streak
This component is simply the number of consecutive days in which the user has posted, ensuring the most active users are rewarded for their loyalty to the platform.
The VI multiplier is vital in ensuring that each individual user is compensated based on their overall contribution to the success of the Vid platform.
